Actress Lizzy Gold Onuwaje from Nollywood has stated that she is unmarried because she wants a long-distance union.
The 36-year-old mother of two claims that while she likes the concept of marriage, she does not want to live with a partner.
The Warri-born actor claimed that long-distance relationships make relationships become more enjoyable.
This was said by her in a popular video message.
“I have been getting a lot of questions like, ‘Is she single?'” said Lizzy Gold. Is she wedded?
“I’ll now respond to all of your inquiries. I’ve never had a marriage. I’m a single mother who is also single. Not because I dislike the word “marriage,” but rather because I haven’t gotten married yet. I’m taking my time and enjoying my alone, so that’s why. Therefore, if I do have to get married, it will have to be through distance. If I married a man, I don’t believe I’d be very comfortable waking up to find you in my room, on my bed. I won’t feel too at ease.
“I think distant connections might occasionally make a relationship more enjoyable. Making both spouses long for themselves is beneficial.
“For that reason, I’m not married right now. Additionally, I don’t currently have marriage in my lexicon.
She continued by saying that she has remained celibate for four years and that she intends to marry “when the time is right.”
